Hi, I’m Danielle Black Lyons.I’m a copywriter, producer, director & creative person. I love bringing ideas to life through words, film, and creative collaboration.Throughout my career, I've worked with some pretty incredible agencies including Saatchi & Saatchi Los Angeles, Wieden+Kennedy, Portland and M&C Saatchi, London. I also spent a decade as a freelance broadcast closed captioner and court reporter.Along the way, I co-founded Textured Waves, a surf collective created to promote the sport of surfing towards women of color with an aim to shift the narrative in modern day surf culture. I also spent time as a sponsored global surf athlete for Roxy.Writing, directing, and producing surf films is a passion of mine. I'm driven to inspire future generations of female surfers to forge their own paths, just as I love helping brands find their voice and tell stories in fresh unexpected ways.When I'm not creating you'll find me surfing, gardening, swimming, biking, and hiking with my family where I reside in Southern California.Let’s connect!
